Backyard Retreat & Garden Path
This backyard needed more than plants placed around the edges. The design uses sweeping curves, contrasting stone, defined beds, and focal features to give the yard movement and purpose.
The pathways invite you into the landscape while the planting areas soften the hard surfaces and create room for the garden to mature.
It is a good example of Terry's approach: think about how a person will experience the space, not just how it will look in a photograph.

The bones of this landscape were already here, but the property needed definition and renewed attention.
Terry worked with existing masonry and established features while refreshing beds, plantings, and mulch. The finished landscape feels cleaner and more intentional without pretending the house needed to become something it wasn't.

Finished stonework may look effortless, but the work underneath determines whether it lasts. Layout, preparation, fit, grade, and transitions all matter.
Terry's approach is to solve those details as part of the project rather than treat the visible surface as the whole job.
